Art for the Garden, from Otis

otis art 2 - dec2012 Last semester, we worked with a group of students from Otis Art Institute.  The students visited the Garden many times and got to know our operations.  They created projects based upon what they felt was needed at the garden.

One group created sets of cards which we could stick into the trays of harvested vegetables to give to food pantry patrons.  One set of cards gives nutritional information about the vegetable and the other set of cards gives simple recipes.  Excellent!  The cards are really cute.

A second group was fascinated by the idea of feral vegetables and wanted to make growing food more accessible.  They made cards from homemade paper with the vegetable seeds imbedded in the paper.  YouTube link coming soon!otis art 3 - dec2012

Another group created a Facebook page specifically for the Garden (link coming soon).
