Spring veggies are here! Now, what are you going to do with them?
Join us this Thursday for a fun and delicious cooking class with Peter Rood. We’ll be cooking up the freshest in-season veggies … the ones you’ll find in the farmers’ markets RIGHT NOW.
You’ll learn basic cooking skills, get to cook together, eat together, and take home recipes. (Just planning this fun event has made me hungry!)
Recipes on the list thus far: Fava bean and local egg salad, Curried quinoa with green beans, Swami’s pickled beets, Dilled cucumbers, and much more. We’ll throw in a few recipes for tomatoes and cukes, even if they aren’t (quite yet) in the markets, because we all know they’re right around the corner.
If you have favorite recipes that feature fresh local veggies, bring ’em along. We’ll run copies so that everyone can share.
